On February 21, 2017, the Foggy Bottom Association hosted a meeting for neighbors to learn more about the aeromedical helipad the GW Hospital is proposing. Dr. Babak Sarani, Director of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at the Hospital, and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mike Conklin, a helicopter pilot and aviation consultant, provided information on the plans. They answered questions and tried to address residents' concerns regarding noise and other issues.
The Hospital is planning to conduct a comprehensive noise study within the next several weeks. Results of that study will be shared here and through other FBA media when available.
