Welcome to the Foggy Bottom West End Main Street Program!

The Foggy Bottom Association along with Mayor Bowser's office are excited to announce that after a comprehensive feasibility study done in fiscal year 2023 and with the the support of council member Brooke Pintos Office, in December 2024, the Foggy Bottom Association was awarded the Foggy Bottom West End Main Street Program, a transformative initiative aimed at revitalizing and energizing our vibrant community. This program will officially launch in early 2025, and we can’t wait to bring new opportunities, events, and improvements to our historic neighborhood.

What is the Foggy Bottom West End Main Street Program?

By partnering with independent nonprofit organizations, DSLBD’s DC Main Streets program provides financial and technical assistance to revitalize neighborhood business districts. From hosting community events to beautification projects and business development support, the program plays a vital role in enhancing the economic vitality of DC neighborhoods. Through this program, we will focus on:

• Supporting Local Businesses: Creating initiatives to boost and support businesses in the area.

• Community Events & Activities: Bringing people together through exciting events, art, cultural activities, and more.

• Beautification & Public Space Improvements: Enhancing the neighborhood’s streets, parks, and public spaces to create a more inviting atmosphere.

• Neighborhood Advocacy & Collaboration: Working together with community leaders, organizations, and residents to ensure that Foggy Bottom and the West End remain vibrant, diverse, and thriving.

 

Geographic Boundaries.

The service area for Foggy Bottom West End Main Street Corridor is delineated as follows: M Street NW to Pennsylvania Ave NW from 26th St NW to New Hampshire Ave NW; Pennsylvania Avenue NW to I Street NW From New Hampshire Ave NW to 20th Street NW; Washington Circle NW (National Park Service Land), New Hampshire Ave NW from Virgina Ave NW to Pennsylvania Ave NW, I Street NW to Virginia Ave NW from 27th NW to New Hampshire Ave NW, Virginia Ave NW to F Street NW from Rock Creek Parkway NW to 25th St NW, Virginia Avenue NW to E Street NW from the I-66 Highway Expressway to 23rd Street NW.
